VIEW OF THE VALLEY, SCHOOL, AND DEFENSE WALL FROM THE AIR (C) ARUP

Following the mud slide in 2010 and flood in summer 2015 the Druk White Lotus School has been creating a walled protection around the site to protect the school from these events, which are becoming more frequent in recent years. The wall is two thirds built and already made a huge difference when the floods came in 2015.

The Drukpa Trust  need further support to complete the wall and fully protect the school.

Arup are donating their time and worldwide expertise, including member of the team on site in Ladakh, to create a robust design for the defense and management which is intended as an exemplar that can be followed in the region.

All donations will be very gratefully received by the Drukpa Trust.

More information about the school can be found here.
